Entwickelt, um geformte, gebogene Kühler‑Schläuche zu ersetzen – sofern die Verlegung dies zulässt –, wird der flexible Gummischlauch von Hongan in Handarbeit aus EPDM‑Gummi, strapazierfähigem Gewebe und Drahtverstärkung gefertigt, was ihm eine hohe Berstfestigkeit und Kollapsbeständigkeit verleiht. Die Riffelung des Schlauchs sorgt für ausgezeichnete Flexibilität und Knickfestigkeit, während die robuste Konstruktion den Einflüssen von Ozon und anderen schädlichen Umwelteinflüssen, Kühlflüssigkeiten, Kühlmittelzusätzen sowie Temperaturschwankungen von –40 °F (–40 °C) bis +212 °F (+100 °C) standhält. Die Bauweise des Schlauchs erfüllt oder übertrifft die Anforderungen der SAE‑Norm J20R5, Klasse C, für schwere Einsatzbedingungen.
